Homemade Cake-Easy To Make Cake Recipe

What is the one thing that is common in all these occasions?

If you’re thinking about fun, nice dresses, booze, then, of course, you’re right but what’s one more thing that you get to see or in fact taste in each of the above-mentioned occasions, or most of the occasion these days?

C’mon think, well! let me tell you the answer.

It’s the “CAKE”. I might sound insane but if you are a foodie then I bet you can understand my feelings.


Cake nowadays is one of the most commonly found food in the parties and occasions. It has taken a special place in our lives. Yepp! That’s true and I am happy about it.

I personally am a cake lover. At any time, I would prefer cake over ice cream and other sweets. But it sometimes, really become difficult to keep my cake cravings satisfied.

Besides all the calories tension, it gets heavy on my pocket. You have to pay at least 500 for half a kg cake and if you go for dry cakes, well! that’s also not very budget-friendly.

So, why do I do to keep my sweet tooth cravings satisfied?


The answer is, “easy and quick homemade cake”, taught by my mother. Mothers are amazing, aren’t they? They have solutions to almost every problem, especially when it comes to “hunger and food cravings strike”.

So, I am going to share one an easy and simple cake recipe. This is one of the easiest baking recipes. I usually make this around midnight.

The type of disturbed lifestyle (that’s what my mum says, according to her I am a nocturnal animal) that we have these days, my cake cravings make a night call and when I cannot find anything to eat, then comes the “easy and quick cake recipe for beginners”.

In this article, I am going to show you, how to make a simple cake at home.


Cake Recpie


How to bake a simple cake step by step:


2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar ( I prefer cane sugar because it has better health benefits plus it tastes better)

1 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs

1 leveled tsp Baking powder

2 pinches baking soda

Few drops of Vanilla essence

Almonds for garnishing (grated)

Note: while you prepare the batter, preheat the oven to 180C for 10 minutes.


Procedure For Cake Recipe:

Step 1:

Sieve all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda in a container and mix well.

Step 2:

Mix eggs, vegetable oil, and sugar grind these in a mixer or grinder.

Step 3:

Add the liquid mixture to the dry one slowly and mix well while pouring it. Beat the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy.

Step 4:

Add vanilla essence and mix well. I usually add 4-5 drops because I have a strongly flavored vanilla essence. You can add according to your taste.

 Step 5:

Grease the cake mold and pour the cake batter into the container. Add grated almonds on the top. The almonds will get roasted while baking and will taste so yum.

Step 6:

Place the mold into the oven. Bake the cake at 180C (bake mode) and your cake will be ready to eat in about 35-40 minutes.


TIP: For the cake to be moist, don’t overheat it. Check at 30 minutes (by inserting a knife into the cake, if the cake sticks to the knife, then it is not baked yet). Also, mix and beat the batter well, it will make your cake soft and spongy.
